Eastern Middle School Reviews

There were a few horrible teachers, including a horribly racist substitute who made fun of how squinty Asian people’s eyes are, a teacher who all the girls were afraid to stay after school with because he was so creepy, a teacher who said her eight year old daughter was smarter than all of us, and a teacher who promoted her music videos in class instead of teaching them anything. There were some really good teachers who balanced them out, though. The academics were good as long as you tested into the advanced classes. The school somehow has a ridiculous amount of funding and spends it on some strange things (inflatable gaga ball pits). Some students are terrible and rude to each other. There was almost no diversity. The school claimed to be accepting of everyone but never did anything to prove it. It was stressful and miserable and I was depressed for all 3 years, but I learned a lot.

Eastern's diversity wasn't the best, but considering it is zoned to an affluent area, it is, unfortunately, what you would expect.
It was overall good experience. Taught me independence. I would like to see more after school clubs.
