I loved my middle school years at EC! I transferred from my public elementary school in the 6th grade and felt welcomed right away. The community is incredibly strong and there is always someone there to support the students and their families. I've since moved from the state but still stop by the campus to say hello to my old teachers and many of my classmates are still my friends today.
I have gone to Eastern Christian School all of my life. Eastern Christian helps nurture students to become the best person they can be to be a role model for Christ to those around them. I love the friendliness of the teachers at my school. Ever since pre-K, my teachers have always supported me not only through my assignments, but also through the struggles of daily life. I love how Eastern Christian has so many engaging activities and sports. My teachers are so funny and creative in every way! The only change I would like to see in Eastern Christian is an Eastern Christian college. That would be incredible!
Eastern Christian does an amazing job of bettering its students and encouraging them to succeed. While at first glance the school may not seem to have many opportunities academically due to its smaller size (~400 students), there is always an abundance of classes available in all areas to fulfill the accelerated student’s needs (like myself). Even if one does somehow exhaust EC’s many course opportunities, EC has specialized learning programs (online classes, the STEAM program, the WINGS internship program in a specialized area of the student’s choice, etc.) to allow its accelerated students to go beyond the normal means of a high school class. Eastern Christian is diverse in the sense that there are many different ethnic groups represented (which is good!), but sometimes these groups hardly interact with one another (this is more of a problem with the world too, so don’t be worried!).
