Eastern Alamance is a school that is not the most progressive institution. Growing up in the south has taught me some valuable lessons about the treatment of others. Attending a predominantly white school came with experiences I never thought I would have gone through. Being called racial slurs, not invited to sleepovers, and being left out of group pictures. Life taught me to never settle for others' opinions and to voice the truth in trying times.
What do I like about Eastern Alamance High? If I were to be honest here it isn't the most ideal place but they have it put together. The staff and administration try their best to make sure each student passes each grade. While the school needs some serious work from the leaking hallways, to messy bathrooms(from students) it does have it's perks.
I have had the pleasure of having some wonderful teachers here, however that is not always the case for some. My teachers have made me feel welcomed but also un-welcomed with their teaching strategies and how they run things in the classroom. I respect each teacher but some don't have the patience for these kids which can cause altercations.
This school academically doesn't have a lot to offer unless you get a teacher with a great teaching style. Overall I think it is a great school its evolving every day into new things.

Eastern Alamance is a very "average" small town high school. Many of the students come from lower-middle income families and there aren't too many racial disparities. What sets this school apart from every other rural NC high school is the staff. Of course there are always boring/mean teachers wherever you go, but Eastern Alamance sets the bar quite high for its faculty. Many of the teachers really enjoy their job, and have a passion for teaching and inspiring. Some of these teachers have helped me through extremely difficult times, and its apparent that almost any teacher would do their absolute best to make sure your high school career is enriching and successful; both inside and outside the classroom.
