Although my town has only around 10,000 people and a class with a graduating class of 60 students my teachers were very caring and helpful. Due to the school being small they cared about each individual and tried not to leave anyone behind. The school budget is small and there were not a large variety of class options. My school also has a good diversity of students that all get along and there seems to be almost no bullying. The science department of our school is great with excellent teachers and a variety of classes of different science topics. Athletics always have been fun with decent sports teams and competitive athletes such as my self. The school has followed strict Covid protocols and has done a good job on enforcing rules. Lastly, our school lunch is free for everyone but the quality of food is not that great.
There needs to be improvements with staff. Also with the special Ed department. They need to work harder to help students reach there goals in all areas. There needs to be a more positive attitude by all. And more of a team effort. And open communication. Over the years things have changed. This use to be the best school. It breaks my heart to see what has happened to this school. I have two older brothers. And they had a great high school experience. It use to be a really happy positive place. And things changed dramatically. Even the teachers say it feels like a jail now. How sad is that. Im still leaving with a positive attitude. I’m reaching my goals. I’ve struggled through it all. And at times didn’t think I would make it. But I’m moving on to a great place. I will still miss my high school. I want to see improvements made there for the future. I pray it happens for the students. It is very much needed.
Had a great experience! Teachers and students were amazing. There was not a ton of clubs for students to join though.
