Georgetown Independent School District (ISD) serves students living in Georgetown, Texas.

Georgetown ISD serves nearly 12,000 students at 10 elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools, and two alternative campuses.

GISD boasts a 97% graduation rate, an average SAT score of 1113 (+77 over the state average), and an ACT score of 23.1 (+2.5 over the state average). Students have the option of participating in a variety of programs: 13 athletic programs, 16 Fine Arts programs, and five GISD schools that offer Dual Language programs.

My experience at East View High School is great. I originally did not like how hard teachers were but then I realized they really try to prepare us for college life. Teachers care about their students and try to prepare them, even if students don't like their teaching methods. There's great diversity! Even though we don't have the best sports program, students still have school spirit.

Review East View High School

I've had some teachers that make the school a better place - Mrs. Sobhani, Mr. Hanna, Mr. Behlmann (no longer works there), Mr. Demitchell, Mr. Eikenbary. My issues or complaints with the school center around administration being disorganized, and health issues. There's a bird problem on campus, especially in the cafeteria - bird poop is on all the chairs. Some science teachers have found mice (dead and alive) or rats in their cabinets. The core classes are lacking, if a student wants a decent education I'd recommend taking mostly AP classes - almost all the core classes I've taken have felt slow, and not engaging. The new principal this year has made an effort to boost school spirit, and I think it's somewhat appreciated by the student body. The admins seem to not be concerned with issues students bring up, it feels as though the student body is unrepresented.

I attended East View High School for my whole four years of High School. It was an amazing experience to call it my school and represent it. I played and competed in Football, track, and powerlifting during the time I was there. Football allowed me the opportunity to go on and earn a roster spot for Sul Ross State University! Although I still have to pay for college it is an awesome opportunity.
