East Valley High School Reviews
Rating 3.58 out of 5 85 reviews
East Valley is a great high school! I've always felt like the staff truly cares about the wellbeing of all of the students and they work really hard to get students to stay engaged with the student body. I often feel bad for the staff because they always work so hard & they deserve so much more credit. I was previously enrolled in a private school all 1st-8th grade so making the switch to a private school in 2019 was kind of stressful. Thankfully, the teachers at East Valley are kind and hardworking and I realized there wasn't anything to be worried about. The only "complaint" I would have is about the GearUp program there. While they are lovely & supportive people, I feel they often underestimate the students there which leads to poor self esteem in some kids. A lot of kids think they're not smart enough to get into the college they want and GearUp often lacks encouragement. As teenagers (even though we won't admit it) we want someone to believe in us! Overall, East Valley is great!
My experience at East Valley High School was a overwhelming positive one. The teachers and staff are amazing they are dedicated to help their students meet success. They’re also friendly and caring to students and parents. East Valley High School makes sure to do the best to bond the students together like family. Everybody in this school shows their support towards each and demonstrate it by showing school spirit. I loved the pep rallies, assembly’s, sport functions, etc. But what I loved the most about this school is that teachers and staff are very responsive, and take the time to get to know each student and family. The only worst part of my experience was the pandemic during my school years but the teachers made sure to relieve us with positivity to help us get through it. Something I would like to see change is really nothing big other than the school food. Overall East Valley High School is an amazing school filled with amazing students and amazing teachers and staff. Go Devils
This school is great, there is plenty of diversity. The teachers that I have so far have been really great and helpful! There is a college readiness class, I'm currently in AVID (which in our school is the college readiness class), I really enjoy it, AVID creates it's own little community within the school. I'm currently on the soccer team and it feels like a whole family. I feel pretty safe at this school, there are 2 or 3 security personnel that wander the halls keeping us safe incase something happens. I don't think I have talked with administration, and I'm not much a school pride kind of person so I won't be able to rate those. I feel our school resources are the same like every other school, we have a welding class and wood working class that uses expensive machinery, which I find very helpful for people wanting to go into those types of job. We have one building, a football field and 2 soccer fields. I haven't been in any music & art classes so I can't say anything about them.
