I love our small community. I get to know every person in my graduating class, strengthen those connections and learn with everyone I've been in school with for the past years.
I love that I can easily get personal help from teachers. They're personable and genuinely want to see students succeed in their classroom. Teachers also do what they can to get to know each student's needs and do their best to keep all of their kids on track.
I appreciate our administration and the work they do to keep our school safe. Not only that, but they are always encouraging students to go to sports games and student activities. They want us to be involved in our school and community.
I appreciate our college readiness advisors. They want to help every EV student reach their post-high school goal. All advisors are adamant in asking what students' after school plan is, reminding them to fill out applications (i.e. resume, college, scholarship, FAFSA), and reaching out to make sure they're on track.

East Valley is overall a pretty good school, just like any Highschool there are downfalls and peaks. But, there is a good community and amazing activities. There are students from all backgrounds who are committed and determined to go to school. There are clubs for everyone! The academics could be better, offering more, harder classes and making those opportunities known. The math curriculum is not very student friendly. The students understand that the curriculum is supposed to help, but that are forced to work in groups for their grade. The culture of East Valley is very warm. There are lots of opportunities to create a small, close knit community with others.
I am currently a student at East Valley High School and I love our little community. Everybody is great to be around and makes school a lot more enjoyable!
