Very great teachers that care about you and your education. Everyone I have met at East Surry has been very nice and welcoming. The sports at East Surry are outstanding in just about every sport. If any issue comes up, the administration knows just how to handle the issue. I have had so much fun at Friday night football games. We would have themes every Friday and the whole student section would participate. I would say the school spirit at East Surry is excellent. I felt very safe at East Surry. Everyone had key cards that were necessary to get into the doors of the building. At the football games, no bookbag was allowed in order to keep everyone safe from someone sneaking in weapons of any sort. The teachers aren't just teachers at East Surry, they also are there for you if you are dealing with any personal issues they are there to help you. I have had a very great 4 years at East Surry High School, and I will miss it very much!
I enrolled as a Sophomore, so I was anxious about starting a new high school my sophomore year. The Teachers and Administrative staff welcomed me and provided support and guidance to me. The school stressed the importance of taking advantage of obtaining college credits while still in high school. Communication on all levels, both verbal and written, was better than I had experienced before. I valued Easy Surry's learning environment which was free of bullying and allowed individualism.
East Surry was a very interesting experience for me. There were a lot of things I loved about it, and other things I found annoying. I thought the teachers were awesome with most of them connecting with their students on a personal level, and with the class sizes being relatively small I got a close connection with most of my classmates. The only real thing it's lacking is options for extra curricular activities outside of the normal high school sports.
