The things I liked about East Stroudsburg was the fact that they are really helpful and kind. The teachers constantly make sure that the student is understanding the material and they are very covid safe this year. They are doing an excellent job at trying to keep the students from receiving the same education as they would any year. They also have a great staff in the office that is always there when you need them. I do admit that the counselors are a little hard to get into contact with and see when needed but otherwise the office staff are the kindest people and most helpful people. The school also has people in the hallways to help incoming freshmen and really any grade level find where they are heading to. Overall they have great teachers and very kind staff members.
Went to this high school a few years back. Now it is always good to remember, that every single person experiences high school differently, but there are some basics that a school should cover and those things just were missed and left a poor taste in my mouth. Hopefully things have gone up since I was there, here's to hoping though.
The school district has changed a lot from when i first attended in kindergarten. Lots of city people moving in. More crime and the feeling of not being safe in school at times
Loved the safety, the feeling of belonging and there is an option for clubs and sports for everyone. The teachers and staff there know what they are doing and are very competent. They support the students and make sure they are successful in the school year. Took some difficult AP courses and was able to pass them and the AP tests.
I would definitely recommend joining the numerous clubs and sports to get the full experience of our school. I volunteered every year to help out with special Olympics which is hosted at our school and each year getting to see the expression on the kid's faces as they compete, eat ice cream, and take silly photos with their friends was phenomenal. I was also in Future Business leaders of America which helped me to meet new people and get out and help my community. The club was astonishing and everyone in it including the director were incredible people that wanted to help you succeed and reach states. I was a wrestler as well which helped a lot because the bond the team had was surreal everyone there had your back no matter who you were whether it be junior varsity or varsity they were there for you. I was in the National Honor Society which also helped me to go out and help my community, from organizing blood drives to volunteering at the local soup kitchen. South was incredible!
East Stroudsburg High School South has a positive and welcoming atmosphere. All faculty and staff give students many opportunities and make them feel welcomed. Many forms of support is available in school and even outside of school from the staff at East Stroudsburg High School South. The communication of issues with staff and administration could use a little bit of work in the area of priorities. Student concerns are very important and should be taken into high consideration by staff and administration.
Good teachers and everything. Terrible students. If your looking to make a ton of friends and long lasting bonds in high school this is not the place.
Lots of amazing teachers. Students are very well treated, and we have an amazing sports program. Our teachers like to make school fun, but also educational at the same time. We are one of the greatest if not the greatest school in this area
There are a lot of opportunities for involvement and growth which I personally love in the school. You’ll get a few bad or mean teachers here and there but overall there is a feeling that teachers and administration care. The experience is different for everyone. As a gifted student, I know have opportunities and get treated a way that others may not, but I think there are chances to be what you make of it.
It is a good high school with well rounded diversity, but students do not have as much choice, voice and relevancy in their learning content as they should.
There are so many things to get involved in. Multiple sports, clubs and activities. There is something for everyone.
Overall had a great high school experience with a lot of opportunities that were provided to me by teachers, administrators and many more. I played field hockey and was involved within the music program, which inspired me and helped me grow as a person. I was extremely involved within the school and always found it was a safe environment every day with people who are there to help you. There are always ups and downs anywhere you go, but if you do your work and respect your peers, it is very pleasant and you get to make many positive, memorable moments throughout high school
I enjoyed the diversity and academics at East Stroudsburg High School South. I would like to see more teachers showing empathy for students in difficult situations.
I enjoyed my time at East Stroudsburg High School South. The teachers there work very well with students to help them succeed. There are so many activities and club you can join. The staff there is also very friendly. Overall a great school and a welcoming community.
The teachers and staff are really nice people, and will have the time and dedication to help you in what you need, personally and with school. You will have really good connections and conversations with your superiors and friends, there are really amazing people there that will help you throughout your life and will always be there for you, even the teachers.
It all depends on who you were around. The people of this school are what make it what it is and so sometimes things are pretty good and other times things suck.
It was an okay school. Pretty average. I like the building and there is a lot of things to do. I was there for 4 years and I enjoyed it. Certain things were annoying though. Dresscode and Chromebook use.
