The school is just okay. I am glad to have graduated and will never return. Some teachers are okay and some of them are terrible. There was only 1 black teacher in the entire school for the 4 years I attended.
My experience at East Stroudsburg Senior High School South has been a rollercoaster. There has been many ups and downs, but I will never forget my four years of high school. I would not take anything back.
They have two programs that help students with their study. The first on is called the academic lab and the second is called homework lab. It is very useful if you need to get work done or just need help understanding the material.
I loved the support I received from my guidance counselors and mentors. I wish more money was put toward improving classrooms and the art and music programs, rather than just the sports fields.
I moved to the district and they were very welcoming. The school is built well with proper security and a good amount of extracurriculars.
Overall my experience has been good. The school has many electives to choose from and great guidance counselors.
Teachers are very helpful. Academics are the best in the area. Teach college type classes. Coaches are the best. Strong nit community.
School sports is all about family and working together.

I am currently a junior at East Stroudsburg Senior High School South. I enjoy the sports department and academics.
My school excels in community and inclusion for all. I found a “family” in my school experience through academics, music, and theatre. I was encouraged and guided through my highschool journey enabling me to excel and be prepared for a successful college experience. I am proud of my school and the education it has afforded me.
South High School is an okay school. The school offers plenty of AP courses which I am grateful for and the honors/AP teachers are execellt, at least the ones I've had. The students are nice too, and the only subject that can improve is afterschool activities. The organization and school lunches lack compared to the curriculum offered and student resources.
My experience at ESHSS shaped who I am today and helped push me in the right direction. Their teachers and classes taught me a lot of useful things like how to manage my money and even personal lessons that I can use in my everyday life.
I enjoy this high school because the community created based on truly caring for each other is here. I would like to see more emphasis on working towards greatness rather than just getting a good grade.
I love how the administrators and teachers strive to bring everyone together and create a large amount of opportunities for every student and every interest. I appreciate all of the hard work that goes into this school. My four years were excellent.
East Stroudsburg Senior High School South had a lot of inspiring teachers and classes. Many of the teachers seemed really passionate about their job, and actually helped students learn along the way instead of leaving them in the dark. There were ample opportunities the school gave to prepare students for college as well, offering AP classes to challenge students and business/ finance classes that help prepare students for life as an adult after high school. If there was anything I could change it would be the uniform dress code. It takes away the characters of students trying to express themselves through clothing.
This high school has many, many extracurricular clubs available to students, as well as a decent variety of electives. The atmosphere is encouraging and relatively relaxed. The facilities are functioning and sufficiently updated.
The things I liked about East Stroudsburg was the fact that they are really helpful and kind. The teachers constantly make sure that the student is understanding the material and they are very covid safe this year. They are doing an excellent job at trying to keep the students from receiving the same education as they would any year. They also have a great staff in the office that is always there when you need them. I do admit that the counselors are a little hard to get into contact with and see when needed but otherwise the office staff are the kindest people and most helpful people. The school also has people in the hallways to help incoming freshmen and really any grade level find where they are heading to. Overall they have great teachers and very kind staff members.
Went to this high school a few years back. Now it is always good to remember, that every single person experiences high school differently, but there are some basics that a school should cover and those things just were missed and left a poor taste in my mouth. Hopefully things have gone up since I was there, here's to hoping though.
