My time at East Stroudsburg Senior High School South has been nothing less than extraordinary. South high school is made up of phenomenal people from the administrators that care about their students to teachers that go the extra mile to ensure their students are receiving the best education possible. Combine those attributes with the friendly atmosphere between peers and that makes up East Stroudsburg's excellent school culture. I have seen East Stroudsburg High School South become a very positive and welcoming environment for all students. There are Clubs, activities, and sports that work to make sure students are involved and invested in their school. If I were to make any changes to the school I would remove the strict dress code so students were more free to express themselves and able to feel more comfortable in their learning environment.

Overall, attending ESHSS was pretty good. If you could get past the typical high school cliques and ghetto, disrespectful students, you'll be fine. Receptionists at the front desk can be quiet rude and easily tempered. They never know what they're doing unfortunately either. Administration fails greatly in some areas that allegedly mean so much to them, such as dress code and disciplinary actions towards bad behavior. Teachers are pretty okay, sometimes they aren't as helpful as they say they are. Security is probably the best group of people in the school, they know how to interact with us and also get respect too.
Some of the supporting staff, like a few secretaries, seem to exhibit poor behavior towards some students. Sometimes, secretaries won't answer straight forward questions asked by students. The main office seems ill informed about any activities that aren't "mainstream" like sports. So I had learned to avoid going there for any information.
Every senior should be properly informed about student candidates running for, say, class president. And then, all seniors should be obligated to vote for those student government candidates based on facts and not popularity. Just as there are make ups for anyone who misses a senior survey, there should be make ups for anyone who misses a Senior voting.
There are countless ways to create healthy foods that are simple, yet flavorful. Is it really easier to for the school to serve pork, pizza, or fries almost everyday? Could there be student helpers in the lunch room like there are for certain classes?
