East Rochester Junior/Senior High School Reviews
Rating 4.23 out of 5 31 reviews
My overall experience with East Rochester Junior/Senior High School was great. Due to the fact that this school is on the smaller side, I felt like I had a lot of opportunity's that others might not have. For example, being very close with my teachers and my graduating class as there was around seventy of us. The best parts of my experience at ER are mostly sports related. I was apart of the basketball, volleyball, and softball program from seventh grade up until my senior year. I was able to be apart of the 2022 girls varsity basketball team who won sectionals for the second year in a row. We also won the western regional and made it all the way to state finals but unfortunately placed second. I was also able to be apart of the girls varsity volleyball team, who made it all the way to sectional finials for the first time since the 1980s. Although we didn't win we were all elated to be apart of the few volleyball teams who made it that far. I am glad to be part of ER history.
East Rochester is a very inclusive and loving school. At ER there are many ways to get involved and be a part of the community. The teachers are usually very helpful and are always there when you need someone to talk to. The teachers go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and are having a good experience in school. The sports teams are very supported by the students and are overall a great part of the high school experience. The only downfall to the school would be the way students treat each other and the amount of fights that happen each year. Overall, the experience at ER was a good one for me thanks to the amazing teachers, coaches, and peers.
The learning at East Rochester Jr/Sr High School is very personalized. Thanks to the district being so small, the teachers take the time to care for each student and create individual relationships with all of them. The teachers truly care about the students and the administration does their best to support everyone however they can.
