Honestly, East Ridge High School isn't too terrible! The food is alright, there are several great teachers that go there, and a wide variety of extracurriculars! My only qualm is that the art department isn't as well funded as it should be, but if I'm being honest every public school I've gone to so far had an under funded art department, so that isn't surprising. Also most of my time there was spent in the middle of the height of Covid, so I didn't get to experience as much as I would have liked, but that was no fault of the school itself.
It is a great school in a beautiful building and I have enjoyed my years there. I like that the school focuses a lot on both good academics and athletics even though there is a big focus on athletics. I have enjoyed almost all my classes at East Ridge and I love the relationships that we get with the teachers even though the classes are anywhere from 20-35 students. I also love how there are so many different clubs and activities to choose from which makes it possible for all students to find something that fits them! Like with any school, there is room for improvement with some things but I couldn't have gone to a better school!
I would rate my personal experience at East Ridge high school very well. I teachers are amazing and do everything in their power to make sure that the students exceed in class. The students are very welcoming and friendly toward each other which is pretty awesome. The school offers many activities like athletics and clubs which are all very fun to be apart of and participate in. The school is somewhat small considering the amount of students we have but we make it work anyway. Overall, it is a very good school to be apart of and I'm glad to be apart of the community.
