My name is prabath rai! I am from very small village in Jhapa,Nepal! Me and my parents came to United States when I was 12 years old for the better Education and the job opportunities Because in our country we lived our life as poverty, no Proper schools, jobs! My parents used to work as a labor and hardly mark $2 a day! Some days we would go to bed starving, wearing torn cloths, no shoes or slippers! I started At 7th grade here in the United States at East way middle school, I was bullied for bring different back ground. Racism but after graduating from middle school. I went to East neck high school which was life turning movements.I made lot of black and white friends, the teachers were awesome and the school offering AP/IB classes, I played soccer sports! All the facilities were amazing! I graduated from East neck high school in 2018 with GPA of 3:8! Now, I am currently attending University of North Carolina at Charlotte pursuing COMPUTER SCIENCE degree!

The best thing about East Mecklenburg High School is how well-run it is. Principal Richard Parker really puts the pal in principal! He connects with the students and inspires both students and teachers to perform better every day. Overall, it is a great school and many are lucky to go there.
My experience at east meck high was good. Starting my freshman year I was nervous but it was my homeroom teacher Mr. Willis who brought me out my shell. Mr. Willis was a honest and upfront guy who cared about his students. My sophomore year was a little rocky with trying to adjust school and sports together, which I didn't do at all my freshman year. But going into sophomore year I felt good because my classes didn't seem that hard except for chemistry. One teacher that made a lasting impression my sophomore year was Ms. Castle who really taught me that doing my best and succeeding was very important. Ms. Castle always saw the good in me and continued to keep in touch with throughout the rest of high school. My junior year was probably my most best year because I got so much work done even with the classes I had, which were in no way easy. I was blessed to be able to bring up my gpa 3 points, in which I wasn't expecting to happen given the time. My senior started off good in all.
