We love the bilingual and excellent academic experience at ELA!
Our son has grown in happiness and confidence from his time at school. Even his Sunday School teacher has noticed a difference.
The Mandarin teachers all all native Chinese and very positive and patient. Students are taught at their own level of experience, so it’s ok if fellow students have had more years at ELA. The teachers help the newer students along and even opened up a weekly, free after-school tutoring for first-time students to help them catch up.
I also appreciate how our son’s class has many ethnicities-Cauasian, Agrican-American, Hispanic, Asian. They share camaraderie and learning together.

This is a great school! The teachers work closely with the children and the parents to ensure success in two languages, while still excelling in the other subjects. The classes allow for more focused and personalized teaching than kids could get in a traditional school.
My daughter adores this school, she enjoys being with all her classmates and the fun activities she participates in. However, she does have some troubles with behavior and feels like she is being targeted at because of the crazy amount of times she comes home and complains to me about teachers and classmates causing "unnecessary drama." The education is pretty great, I feel like she knows what she needs to know and more. Teachers seemed to be very involved in the students' life which is great for the student and the parent because of the help that is needed. But one of my biggest concerns is for the upcoming fifth grade because now fifth is considered "middle school,"
my daughter is in the fourth grade and I feel like the class doesn't need to be considered middle school in this upcoming year.
