What I like about East Limestone is that everyone gets along. East has a warm welcome to anyone that attends, nobody will ever feel like an outcast. The teachers are amazing overall when it comes to learning, listening, and extra curricular activities. East administrators works hard to keep everyone safe, making the day go smooth. My favorite thing about East would have to be the talent shows, faculty games, sports, clubs, homecoming/formal, and prom. You will have a place to do anything, you will not be left out. Recycling is an important duty to us, and we have a big support group for it, by collecting bottles, cans, and paper every Thursday. East Limestone is the best place to be!

The school shoves football and spirit into most aspects of your daily life their, with other programs such as scholars bowl, soccer, and track and field getting little to no recognition. Some teachers seemed like they weren't qualified, i.e. some English/Literature teachers weren't very versed in proper grammar, and other teachers just didn't care. Some students were moved from standard classes into ap classes against their will, and the act was heavily prevalent in a majority of high school classes, the councilor put students who made below a certain act score into an act prep class that she wouldn't let them drop.
I was treated poorly by teachers and administration. No one cares to help you succeed or check on you if you've been missing days. They just assume you're missing because you don't care. The councilors are sad. No one helped me until one of my 7 teachers (a saint really) noticed something was wrong and talked with me and the councilor about it. Its just sad. I know they deal with hundreds of students a day but in a world where mental health is deteriorating daily, you need to send your children somewhere where people genuinely care about their success and well being.
