I enjoyed going to East Juniata for high school and while there weren't necessarily many extra opportunities academically, there were plenty of sports and extracurricular activites available. I thoroughly enjoyed the extracurriculars that I participated in and thought that they made for a great high school experience.
My experience at East Juniata Junior/ Senior High School has been pretty good. My favorite part of the school is their music program. We have a really talented group of students in the band and chorus. It helps that we have a really good band/chorus director who puts a lot of time and effort into the program. Our program consists of concert band, jazz band, combo, marching band, and chorus. My least favorite part of the school is the food and our cafeteria. Overall, the school does a good job for being such a small school when it comes to academics.
The teachers usually teach lessons to make the kids interested. A lot of teachers have practical real-world examples that make understanding certain topics easier and fun! All of the teachers are friendly and will say hello when you walk past them, will congratulate you on accomplishments that you have. The teachers know most of the kids and are always willing to help. They let you know exactly what they expect from assignments and are encouraging if you are willing to put in appropriate amount of work!
