East Jackson High School Reviews
Rating 3.03 out of 5 30 reviews
I love my school. I believe that the staff do their best to try and help the students. Our Principle, Mr Cook, is very caring and listens to his students. He always engages in conversations in the hallways and encourages us to do our best. One thing I wish we had at school is more classes or electives. We only had a select few electives and I would like to be challenged more by these. Other then this, East Jackson is very welcoming.
A few of the teachers are very good and dedicated to their jobs, and some are not very invested. Unfortunately, many of them are retiring or getting ready to retire. The student body seems to become more disrespectful every year.
East Jackson has a very tight knit community. Since Middle School I've been taught to be part of the community. Everyone generally gets along with one another, there are very few fights, and everyone knows everyone else. Learning is easy, and it's easy to get help. Some things the school does are unfair, for example issues with taking online classes and GPA, or not having classes that are advanced enough for some students.
