East High was all about making students feel accomplished. Their main goal was ensuring as many of their students as possible succeeded in life. Every staff I came into contact with was incredibly passionate about helping me get into college.

Whether that be through staying late after to class to clarify assignments, meeting one on one with students to give additional help and advice, and even a free tutoring service, East High was very involved in student success.

Additionally, to wanting their students to succeed academically, there were many available options to feel fulfilled in other areas. Examples would be yoga, ceramics, and intensive theatre classes. But in addition to arts, they had excellent and diverse sports programs that promoted student health, allowing anyone to get involved who wanted to!

The environment amongst the students was very friendly and healthy, and the school did an excellent job on minimizing bullying and keeping students safe.

As a student body officer, I got to see a lot of the good and bad of my high school. For the most part, the student body all tried to help each other and be inclusive, so even with a very diverse group, we were united. We had something for everyone - from academics programs (and assistance), to sports to fine arts - between classes and clubs you can always find a way to be involved. The administrators and teachers are great. There are opportunities to get involved and to serve each other and the community. Events are planned by students, administrators and parents on a regular basis, so there are lots of fun things to do. I loved my time at East!
East High School has definitely been a ride. I've had the average high school eperience here: fun, parties, and bullying. East High is extremely cliquey, however our student government and administartion have done an awesome job attempting to bring the student body together. Although our school is a tad segregated, IT'S SO DIVERSE! At East, we have a student body with at least 42 different languages spoken. It's so fun to meet people of every different culture every day.
