East High School Reviews

I loved all the teachers there! I’ve never felt more understood by anyone except those teachers. They always asked if anyone needed help, they always tried to make the day fun when they didn’t have to. They were some of the most understanding and caring people I’ve ever had the chance to meet.
East High is home to a diverse student body, with concerned, connected staff who provide accessible resources and great care to students. East High also holds the Fine Arts Institute, with advanced opportunities for those interested and committed to fine arts. Teachers help in any way possible, and there are so many opportunities, extracurriculars, and classes. There aren’t any distinct things I’d like to change, other than a more thorough STEM education program, with more college readiness and preparation.
East High has been able to offer me, a middle-class white female, the cultural competency I need to interact with different kinds of people. It is obvious many teachers love their jobs, however, some teachers aren’t as understanding or willing to help as others. The school gets a bad reputation because of its low-income students and students who tend to skip classes, but overall, East High is a wonderful school of students who love to learn and teachers who love to teach.
