I loved going to East High School. Recently, it was named the most diverse high school in the nation which is definitely a detail about the environment that I truly enjoyed growing up and learning in. I thrived and flourished at East with my academic grades soaring high each semester. I found it to be a very encouraging, accommodating, and nourishing surrounding to be in. I wasn't too much into sports but it was a big thing with the other students. Our school was (and still is) definitely proud of their TBirds!

This school has so much potential, the overall downside is it's funding. The atmosphere and being number one in the nation in diversity has it's perks. But no funding in sport support and extracurricular. It would totally boost the student moral in this high school!
Personally, I didn't experience four full years at East because I moved from Minnesota, but it was a blast when I did get use to the environment. At first, I was extremely lost in the hallways because it is a pretty big school. I got use to it eventually. The teachers are very nice and sweet. At East, they provide free breakfast and lunch everyday. For lunch, there is a variety of foods you can get like hamburgers, salads, and meatball subway wraps. Everything about East is pretty good, but I just think that the dress code should be changed because people should dress the way they want to and to express themselves in a unique way. I do realize why it is what it is because people can be too showy. I totally agree with that rule. I just think in my own opinion that they could be less rules about what we wear.
