East Bakersfield high school was were I was provided an education for 4 years. Being in honors and AP classes, the teachers were excellent. As a freshman, I loved experiencing for the first time the spirit rally's, football and basketball games, the food, and the dances. Our campus was large enough, but the hallways were always full of students. During junior year, I was sad that our lunch was split between upperclassmen and underclassmen. I'm happy that as a senior they really cared to give us a memorable experience. I enjoyed being in the library because there was a wide variety of books. Our principal was a great person, and some of the security were really nice. Even though our campus wasn't always clean, the girl bathrooms weren't always unlocked due to their odor, and some students would fight, I just ignored those negative experiences. I'm proud of my high school experience.
When I first started realizing it would soon be time to choose which high school I’d be attending, it was a pretty easy choice for me. I always knew in my heart that I wanted to attend East High. One of my brothers had already attended and graduated and another one of my brothers was currently attending. All they spoke about was the greatness that East High provided. It was always great feedback from their personal experiences. As a junior now, I see the greatness that this school really does provide for its students. The teachers, staff, faculty and everyone here truly cares about us. My teachers have always motivated me and continue to do so in these unprecedented times. My teachers have not only positively affected me while at school but have even provided aid when I was applying to my first job. I will never forget the memories I got to experience while at East High with all the amazing clubs and programs they offer like ASB, NHS, The Health Careers Academy and many others.
