I love East High School ! The school spirit here is incredible I absolutely love it ! The clubs are amazing and a great way to get involved with the school and make new friends and connections. The teachers are excellent, they are very helpful and take the time out of their day to offer extra help even though they do not need to. The legacy here is really incredible, academically and athletics wise. I love this school!
While East Bakersfield High School is not the most prestigious school by any means, you can find some very excellent teachers there who genuinely care about the students and are willing to go beyond what is necessary for them. I can also vouch that no matter how strange you are you will definitely find a group of people who match your interests. Another strong suit of East is their variety of clubs and events that they have for them. Every club has its own time to shine, so nobody is left out. There are of course a few issues with East as well. This is a very old school in a low income area so we generally don't get introduced to much technology. Besides that, maybe the restrooms aren't exactly in the best shape.... However, those are really the only complaints I have.
My school makes so many people feel welcome. Teachers and staff have always been there to help me become successful. The clubs have also made me feel seen and welcome. As for sports it’s taught me so much about who I am and as a person. It’s also allowed me to use the things I learned in my everyday life for the future. With not only my teachers help but the career centers as well, I don’t feel as stressed about things like applying for scholarships or colleges. They’ve been guiding us students in the right direction since we’ve stepped onto the campus. I believe that any student at East High can have a bright future with the help of the staff, the coaches and teachers.
