East Aurora High School Reviews
Rating 3.48 out of 5 221 reviews
The worst part about East Aurora High school was the food they would provide us during lunch. Also, some counselors weren’t much help when it came to helping us picking out our classes. They would just tell us what there was and wouldn’t really give us any input. That’s why many students complained about the classes they were in. During senior year there wasn’t much help with the college application process. We were expected to know how to do everything and when to do it. Due to that expectation, many students submitted applications late to their schools and didn’t even apply for scholarships because we had no guidance. The good parts about East Aurora were the faculty and staff that took really good care of students, especially the teachers. Many students were able to connect and trust their teachers due to their kindness and understanding of how difficult school could be.
As a student who attended East Aurora High School for three years, my experiences there were good. There was a variety of clubs and sports. What I liked and utilized best was the solid advice and guidance from counselors and teachers dealing with preparing for college. The art classrooms were my favorite. Not just because I genuinely like art, but because they were recently built and were clean and modern. On the other hand, I really would have liked to see more action and dedication into making the students feel the full pride of going to East!
my experience with this east aurora high school was great. I joined sports on my last year of high school. I thought it would be a bad idea considering everyone else has more experience than me. To be honest is the best decision I could have made. Both the football and wrestling coaches were very supportive and welcoming and I was offered a variety spot on both team which led to me winning my conference tournament in wrestling. Besides sports I achieved a lot academically in my 4 years in east aurora. I ended up with a 4.5 GPA and top 20 in my class. The teachers were very flexible with their time and were willing to stay after school with you on multiple occasions for tutoring and or homework help. The worst experiences I had were in the beginning of the school year when the day's were still hot but the air conditioning were never on. However what I would like to see change is the food in our School; our school food was not appetizing and many would rather not eat at all.
