Many teachers at Easley love their job, genuinely enjoy interacting and helping students, are passionate about the subject they teach, and are well-rounded. While some teachers are not as involved in the classroom, the majority of them are very good and make sure the students know the subject thoroughly before moving on. As for sports, our teams are not the best, but the school still supports them and many people go to the games. The art department is also large, with several art and music teachers, several bands, and a nationally ranked marching band. However, the guidance and administration are very hard to work with. They often promise to help with scholarships, testing, and other essentials, but then fail to deliver or deliver extremely late. The school may not be the cleanest, but this is also due to a lack of custodians. Overall, this is a very good school and I would recommend it despite the fact it has some problems.
Every high school has its ups and downs, what makes Easley High School unique is the students, parents, and staff. I enjoy how every teacher is ready to work with hundreds of teenagers each day with such inspiring energy. It really creates a fun environment in the classrooms, it makes teachers more relatable and respectable. The administration staff of our school also fits in with the description above. The admin has a tough job trying to keep the school running and control the chaos of it all, so it is nice to know they are always there for us and that they are nice understanding, and fun when it comes down to getting involved in High school activities. The parents who dedicate their time to all the different clubs and extracurriculars are extremely valuable. They spend so much time, money, and energy to make sure that the different programs at Easley are fun and that they run smoothly so that the students can focus on what makes everyone happy and proud, (speaking from experience).
My overall experience at Easley High was good. They always had fun activities for us, had events, and did their best to give us an amazing high school experience. The curriculums taught were designed to help us understand it well and the teachers made it so that we could understand it very simplified and answered questions that we had. One thing I wish they had showed us and helped us understand more in detail was our learning styles and helping us adapt to different teaching styles so that we could better understand in what ways we succeed in.
