I enjoyed all the teachers that encourage me to further my education and apply to colleges out of Los Angeles county and even out of state! I was able to take many AP classes while I attended. Junior/Senior year was very focused on applying to colleges. I received a lot of guidance and financial help for the application process of college, such as waivers for the SAT and ACT, reduced cost for the Common App, and much more. The science classes I took at Eagle Rock were very strong and has helped me transition into college science courses.

Overall, I enjoyed my time at Eagle Rock High School. I had some of the best teachers you could possibly imagine. Their coursework was creative and engaging and challenged our learning. They genuinely cared about the students who came into their class and would do everything they could to help the students grasp the concepts. However, some of the teachers were subpar. Their classes were taught solely through lectures and some of them don't even attempt to teach the material the class is supposed to cover. Over time, you easily learn which teachers are efficient and for what classes. But generally, most of the teachers are really nice and quite enjoyable to be around.
Great, diverse, welcoming community! Attending this school for six years, I have grown up around different cultures - which provided another opportunity for growth and learning that will be applied in the world. Great academic programs such as IBDP that prepares students for their future!
