DuPont Manual has many expectations for their students given that they are one of the best public high schools in Kentucky. They push for academic excellence and make sure each student is ready for college. There are many extracurricular activities to choose from also. The one thing that Manual can do is embrace their diversity even more. The school is filled with students of many backgrounds, but it does not seem like it's their top priority. Also, the climate can be pretty tense from the competitive nature of many students. Something should be done to prevent students from becoming toxic because of competition relating to academic achievement.

Manual is a fantastic school with endless opportunities, and there is truly something for everyone there. The academics and teachers are some of the best in the state, and the intense curriculum definitely prepares students for college. The workload is heavy, but manageable, and this is dependent on which level classes you take. The teachers at manual know what they are doing. Unlike other schools I have attended, they plan every lesson with attention to detail, and make sure that you learn the concepts. Being such a large school, there are many clubs and sports one could participate in, and you are bound to find a group you fit into.
Manual (or pretty much any highschool) is definitely what you make of it.
I meant the most amazing people at this school! It was amazing to be around students who were so well behaved and motivated. A good chunk of the teachers do belong at Manual, but there is quite a bit that should leave. Although we have the title of the best school in Kentucky, there were many problems at the school. I have experienced first-hand racism from some students and teachers because of the magnet I was in and the low diversity in said magnet. Overall, it's a good school with tons of school spirit. Go Crimsons!
