Manual's status is definitely well-deserved. The students are extremely dedicated, and nearly all college bound. The school's culture is competitive, but everyone is very open-minded and accepting of all students. However, the resources the school has are subpar for the amazing work that happens within those walls. Many classrooms only have chalkboards and have paint peeling off the walls, old desks, and old furniture. The students and faculty deserve much better. Despite these challenges though, the student body has still done some amazing things! I would recommend that anyone come to Manual and promise they will come out a more educated and more accepting person.

Manual is the perfect place for a student who seeks opportunities to dabble! Through the magnet program, Manual offers classes that make exploration accessible for every student wether they are studying drama or math and science. This school provides a unique experience that prepares students for college and beyond. I am so lucky I got to go to DuPont Manual High School.
Manual has a ridiculous amount of clubs, from academics to activism to fun things like the Dumbledore's Army. Academic clubs include Latin club, Science Olympiad, other language clubs, Future Problem Solving, history/social studies club, math/science clubs, robotics club, so on. Creative clubs include art club, ballroom dance, a cappella, writing club, and the journalism and communications magnet's publications. There are also religious clubs, and just fun clubs like the Harry Potter club and the chess and games club. There was even a minecraft club for a while! It's rare to find a student who's not in at least one club, more often two or three. Administrators are really supportive of most clubs, except for some minor issues with school publications and the gay-straight-transgender alliance.
