It is an alright school. The academics are a little below average unless you are part of the math and science academy.
If you are a student interested in pursuing STEM but are not in the math and science academy, teachers may discourage you from taking pre-AP and AP science and math courses (don't listen to them, you can do it!) Will not really prepare you for college; I got to college and struggled big time. Administration is not that helpful, especially the councilors.
I enjoy the large selection of courses and clubs available for students, as well as the amazing teachers that do so much to help us be successful.
The teachers and classes are great! The fine arts program is stupendous. There are a variety of courses offered that leaves nothing lacking. The staff are very spirited and will do anything to take care of students’ needs.
Dulles High School is a very diverse campus outside of Houston, Texas. It has a great STEM curriculum due to the Math and Science Academy, and it is very welcoming to all types of students. The building is old and sometimes unclean, and teachers vary in quality. There is something for everyone at DHS!
I like the authorities as they treat everyone respectfully. The teacher staff were all kind and respectful. I hope in the future they try to get more students involve in clubs and organizations to make everyone feel like they belong.
If you take advanced classes you get the good teachers but the classes are equally as hard, take regular classes and it is just like any other public school. Also the sports teams aren't good but the environment is just put in more work to get better.
The school is fine, but the new administration that took over a couple of years ago brought nothing but disaster (fortunately that's changing this year).
I like Dulles high school but I think it needs something different, that makes them stand out more. My experience has been limited due to online school but it seems to be put together nicely.
What I like about Dulles is that it really focuses on academic more than any of my previous schools I attended.
The academics are average, however, the diversity is amazing, and I have made many good friends here.
I like Dulles High School because of the student diversity and the friends that I met here. As painful school was, the students I met here made it worth it all. I would say every year you usually get one really good teacher and one really bad teacher. The food here was pretty terrible.
Dulles High School is a really diverse high school that helps all students to interact with everyone. It offers one of the best academic experiences along with athletic and arts in the district. The staffs are also always reachable and support everyone in all situations.
I joined the Viking family during my sophomore year and I have had best experience compared to my previous school. Faculty and staff members are always there for you. Teachers are always amazing!!
I have many memories but some students there were not nice but the teachers were mostly cool. It’s not bad.
Excellent school! The classes are very high quality all around and the teachers are great. The diversity of the students is also top notch. The diversity of the faculty is less so, and I wish there was more cultural differences taken into account like Chinese new year.
I have spent the last two years as a Dulles High School student. As an involved student, I have participated in activities such as varsity sports, sports events, homecoming dances, powderpuff, clubs, social events, tutorials, and more. Dulles has many opportunities to become involved in the social aspect of being a part of a community. The school building and facilities, due to the overall age of the school, are very outdated and old. The sports could use more funding to get updated gear and facilities for student-athletes. Overall, the school has great academics with teachers willing to help with whatever you need for success with after school tutoring in-person and online. Dulles High School celebrates diversity, being a part of one of the most diverse counties in the country. The hallways are filled with a representation from every culture, and the environment seeks community through these cultural differences. Dulles is a timeless school, and its legacy will go on for generations.
