The biggest boon it has is its huge diversity; there's no shortage of people to meet, introduce yourself to, or be forced to confront and compromise with. Like with all schools, it has its good and bad teachers, but the large majority of teachers I've experienced in my four years of attending DHS have all been pretty darn good; those that stand out include the AP O-Chem teacher, the AP Chemistry teacher, my Geometry pre-AP teacher, the choir director, etc. Both fine arts and sports play a huge part in the local school culture, and there's no shortage of clubs to get involved in. I somehow was able to make myself a friend group here, even with my introverted personality.
It never hurts to be the first high school in the district!

Dulles was a change of pace from what I became accustomed to in middle school. You will have to work to earn your rank here because this school is far more difficult than the average high school. At the end of the day, you'll be glad you went the extra mile because you'll be ready for any challenges college throws your way. Just remember that most of the teachers will help you if they see you putting in the effort so just work as hard as you can and good things will happen!
I have been influenced to believe that Dulles is the most diverse (due to student enrollment) and driven High School in the Fort Bend District. Although their various student population is constantly increasing, I desire that we see more diverse cultures (other that the usual) being represented, acknowledged, and unionized with one another. As far as academics goes, we have excelled in many of our subjects not only just in State Standardized Test but in state and national competitions too. On the athletics aspect of things individual sports teams, as well as us as a school have built a tradition to work hard, have passion, and grit, which have helped us unbind ourselves from any obstacles we face. Overall Dulles High School has continued to integrate our mission that we "prepare all students by building character, creating lifelong learners through a tradition of excellence, rich cultural diversity and purposeful, equal participation of parents and teachers" in every single student.
