I am in my late twenties now, and I can honestly say that Duchesne made a huge impact on my development into becoming the woman that I am. I am still close friends with many girls in my graduating class and we often talk about how much our experience at Duchesne shaped us in those early years. I really believe that because I went to high school (and middle school) in such a safe and positive environment, I was able to achieve so much more in my life. I learned certain values that I could have never received elsewhere. I am so grateful for my experiences over the years. Duchesne really has changed my life and I will always be connected to such an amazing family of women because of it!

The teachers at Duchesne are incredible and really care about the students' education. They are always experimenting with better teaching methods, resulting in unique experiences such as upside-down classrooms and relaxed classroom furniture. The teachers never fail to challenge their students and help them be proactive in their learning; for example, even though I am the only student in my English class, I have still been assigned a ten-page research paper in which I am allowed to explore whatever topic about Shakespearean literature that I choose. Furthermore, because the school is small, classes can be tailored for the students. I moved to this school in my senior year, and the administration was incredibly helpful with making sure I was completing all the required courses yet could take the classes I wanted.
I could say that attending Duchesne for my four years of high school was a mixed but mostly positive experience.
Although most of the teachers seem to genuinely care about your academic career, many of them also take discipline far too seriously and take a borderline tyrannical approach to things.
In terms of the administration, I found that nearly all of them did not seem to care about the well-being of their students and focused far too much on the image of the school rather than the actual status of it. For example, I recall there being camera crews on campus every other week whose sole purpose were to boost the image of the school. Furthermore, the administration tends to only care for the athletics side of extracurricular activities.
Lastly, in terms of academics, I find that this school prepares you well for the college life due to its focus on homework and testing abilities, along with providing good resources for research and argumentative essays.
