Dubois Christian schools is a great school if you are interested in sending your child to learn about God and excel in their school work. It has a small class atmosphere which in some cases may have good and bad advantages. The teachers are really nice and understanding. There has been many changes to the school property in the past few years. We recently got out gym renovated with a nice wooden floor. We also have updated security and safety issues. We improved our technology system as well this past year. They have pretty good activities to do. You can either do basketball or soccer for sports. In the arts you can take an art class or do choir or both! I sometimes wished that there were more kids in the secondary classes but it was overall really good. It’s a non profit organization. You have to pay tuition because it’s a private school.
Loved science and math there. Great student to teacher ratio. Staff very nice and attentive. They offered soccer and basketball which both had great coaches. I also enjoyed the field trips over the years. Dcs made NOVA testing week fun as well. They gave us breakfast every morning and had fun activities between the tests all week. Overall, small school with a family feel.
My time here at DCS has been life changing. It is a very small school so we are all like a family. The teachers and staff have invested so much time and energy into my life. I have made some life long friends here. They have made some wonderful advancements in technology which has helped me learn a lot and has made school work so much easier. The activities at DCS are limited but they are a school wide thing. I also appreciate fact that the younger kids and the older kids can interact with each other. The academics are mediocre but the life skills I have learned here kind of make up for that. I would like to see the college prep programs become bigger and I would like to see a little more help for the high school juniors and seniors when it comes to applying for colleges and other things.
