So Dubiski is a Career Highschool and I’m currently enrolled in the pathway of health science. I rated it a 3/5 because I can never decide if I love or hate the school. I love how the school looks, it’s professional and big. The fact that we have pathways and CTSO which are these club that you can compete and travel is so fun. It doesn’t have sports, which is a pro for me because I’m physically lazy! My dislikes about the school is the students, they used to do interviews but stopped this year (2017-2018) I also feel as if they don’t care about the students but just about their reputation, however we do have a new principal so we’ll see how that goes. Also the counselors and teachers don’t interact with us that much. Practicum, which is our internship, I was told I couldn’t interview for it and then when I got my schedule it was on there.

I attempted Dubiski Career High School for all 4 years & graduated in 2015 with my cosmetology. I’m really grateful that I was able to attend Dubiski, honestly I wanted to attend a different high school because I enjoyed played basketball but in all I’m glad I decided to stay. I loved all of my teachers, the environment the students, the academics. Now that I’m older maybe one day if I do decide to have children my child will definitely attend Dubiski!
Being in Dubiski was probably the best decision I made. And just be clear, I am currently a student here, so really, take my word for it. The school is filled with great opportunities. For example, I’m in the business pathway and we learned many things from entrepreneurship to insurance. We take classes that can benefit us in the future and do things that would look great in our resume. For instance, I am OSHA certified, I have a cyber saftey certificate, customer service certified, and employability certified. Right now, we are working on getting our management certification so if we apply to a certain place we have a higher chance in going straight in becoming a manager. My only complaint is that we lack in school spirit because we no longer have a mascot and we don’t have sports because it’s a “professional school”. But other than that, it is truly an opportunity you don’t want to miss.
