Dreher High School has provided me with an endless supply of opportunities and resources throughout the last 3 years that will forever hold a positive place in my heart. Not only does Dreher employ faculty and staff members that are passionate about their jobs, on numerous occasions, the teachers at Dreher have gone out of their way to provide academic, artistic, and athletic opportunities to my fellow students and I. Every student is given the opportunity to make a connection with a teacher that can go beyond the subject at hand and turn into a much needed mentor-ship during the unpredictable time of our adolescent years. The resources that have been given to the student body of Dreher High School will provide opportunities and lessons that will last a lifetime!
Dreher High School is an excellent school for students interested in a challenge course curriculum. Chinese courses provide rigor focused on writing and speaking the language. The Chinese coursework flows from Chinese 1 to Chinese 3. I recommend the honors or AP courses for smaller class sizes and to be with students who are focused on their education and moving on to college. Outside Chinese courses, the English and math teachers are extremely knowledge and teach the subject on the students' level. Dreher has an award winner band and dance department. I would love to see the cheer team become a competitive team like some of the other high schools in South Carolina. Dreher also offers dual enrollment courses for English 101 and English 102 through Midlands Technical College in Columbia, South Carolina. Students attending Dreher High School can also take courses at Heyward Career and Technology Center, which is in the same school district, Richland One.
Howdy, I am Karavion Greene. & I am from Hopkins, Sc. Hopkins sc is the country where nothing but woods and fields. Always I felt like bettering my self and getting a Great education. Therefore I ended up transferring to Dreher High school my senior year. And I went there Dreher High school was the best school in the district. My high school was graded as A+ School. Just because everyone in the school have dreams and goals so everyone does their work. I love Dreher teachers so much because they don't just help one person they help every student in the classroom and teach them at a higher level. And that's why I liked it and that's why I think Dreher a great school and why it stands out then other high schools around the area. When I went to Dreher I was a straight A's & B's I never had a bad grade or fail a class while going there that's because I always knew I wanted go go play College football and go play a higher level so I always had to keep my grades high so I would not worry.
