My social life made my high school experience good overall. However, there is a misuse of resources within the administration. The principal did not seem knowledgeable and was frequently observed walking in circles. Guidance counselors were unhelpful, aside from one. There is lots of "tracking," within the Richland One School District, which can be helpful and detrimental. This tracking created a clear division between races and classes within academics. The arts program was better than most. The food was unappealing. A few teachers put forth an incredible amount of time and effort, while others abuse power and demonstrate clear favoritism. Most resources were not advertised. The tutoring center deserves more attention, along with the library. I never once checked out a book from the library. It is most often used as a place to eat or print assignments. The foreign language department is lacking.

There is not a single thing to be changed at Dreher High School. The school is very diverse with students that come from many different backgrounds of life, allowing students to make lifelong friends easily while having the benefit of learning about a different culture. The faculty and staff are very loving and treats each student as if they were their own. Every teacher at Dreher wants to see students try their hardest, succeed, and be the best they can be. There is no doubt that Dreher High School is the perfect choice for students.
Many of the teahers are very helpful and the rigor is compettitive nation wide. There are no academic downfalls I personally have experienced. I must say you have to prove that you are interested in education after high school to be presented with opportunity, which is very understandable. I chose this school because it's many AP courses and languages and i am very pleased. I beleive i am prepared for college more than any of my friends at other schools.
