Lassiter provided me with the growth that I never thought I would ever be able to see in myself. Set unconventionally in the heart of Downtown Dallas, I feared coming out of the shell I resided in comfortably my whole academic life. Enrolling as a college student in high school tore down those walls I had built for myself. Lassiter Early College High School excelled at providing me with the best opportunities and never lacked the encouragement to persevere even when it felt nearly impossible.

At Dr. Wright L. Lassiter Jr. Early College my experience was phenomenal, for there is help offered from the teachers all day. I say this because in the morning if a student is in need of help there is a floor where all of the teachers offices are and the student may get help with the teacher and tutoring is often held after school as well. Due to the fact we are an early college high school I do enjoy the experience of being in college and being prepared for what is ahead for universities that I plan on attending. Therefore, the only thing I would like to see change is the recognition my school gets because unlike Townview magnet Lassiter early college offers of an opportunity to get experience and to get an Associates degree.
I did appreciate the early college program that I was in. Was able to gain 68 college hours, an associate degree in science, and graduated high school in 4 years. The only problem I had were the student that I have to be around with during high school hours. Either be a distraction or an annoyance, but that not the school fault. So in general, I did appreciate my experience in the campus.
