Dr. William W. Henderson K-12 Inclusion School Upper Campus Reviews
Rating 3.81 out of 5 26 reviews
The school itself is alright when it comes to students with physical disabilities, but the school shows clear bias for younger students outside of the high school level, as well as giving special treatment to those with physical disabilities. Students with social emotional disabilities, such as ADHD or Anxiety disorder are more or less ignored in the schools eyes. We are often told we are over reacting and are treated as with our diagnosis isn't worth taking seriously. To top that off, they treat highschoolars as a whole as if we are all deliquents who don't deserve any respect. The multiple cases and new coverage of our school this year is proff enough about how little they care about the older student body.
My experience with this high school is that I was blessed to go to an inclusion school that includes everyone regardless what type of disabilities we have. The reason so is that everyone of us deserves an education no matter what we are whether it's being blind, deaf, autism, down syndrome, and etc since it gives us a knowledge of the world around us and changes it into something better. It develops in us a perspective of looking at life. It helps us build opinions and have points of view on things in life.
My experience at the Henderson was great especially the student to teacher relationships. Changes I would like to see at the Henderson are better clubs, more field trips and better lunch for the students.
