I think overall the academic rigor and teacher to student relationship is strong. However, administration at the school often enforces or implements ineffective policies aimed at reducing truancy. There is also a lack of community at the school, making it very hard for students to truly want to come to school when there's a lack of unity and community within the school.

This school is fantastic. The staff and teachers are very nice and they really help students a lot. Something that could improve though is like the food and stuff but other than that the school is great, I highly recommend it.
My overall experience at Dr. Jorge Alvarez was an amazing experience. The school is a small and the classes are much more intimate and with the smaller class rooms, you get to know your teachers at a personal level and your classmates. The staffs there are welcoming and always willing to be an helping hand for you. I have met many wonderful people who has made an big impact in my life and have pushed me to work hard and get to where I am at today.
