We have wonderful teachers who are committed to our learning and growth. Many of the teachers are very down to earth and get along with us students on the human level. The student body is incredible and always vibrant. There are a ridiculous amount of opportunities available to get involved, such as the National Honor Society, Varsity Sports, Student Council, and all different forms of clubs. I am proud to say I belong to Downingtown East High School!
Downingtown East has so many opportunities for all of its students. They have the best selection of classes and students. It's definitely a challenging school but the academics really prepare you for the world and life as an adult. We have a very diverse student body and students can always feel safe. Downingtown East is definitely a place to let their students' talents shine. I feel very grateful that I got to spend my four years of high school at Downingtown East and interact with their inclusive staff and passionate activities. I've been involved with the French Exchange, NHS, Student Council, many clubs, cheerleading, theater, and many more activities there and I have made some of my favorite memories through this high school.
Downingtown East High School is a cut above the rest, there is no doubt about it. The teachers are all so caring and excellent at what they do, as I always seem to be understanding the concepts more. They focus on the concepts themselves, rather than the grade of the student. Some are not just teachers, but even friends. The sports program is so diverse and is an incredible experience. The music program has numerous opportunities such as going to Hershey Park or Disney. The course list is so vast and consists of many AP courses to challenge ourselves with. The school even offers the chance to work toward an AP Capstone Diploma. There are a plethora of clubs and extra-curricular activities, and the campus itself is so large and has so many different features. The difficulty of the courses certainly seems to be preparing me for college as well. There is nothing I would change and I am honored to be a student at this school.
