Dowling Catholic High School Reviews
Rating 4.22 out of 5 249 reviews
I was able to receive an education that prepared me for college academics. My time there allowed me to foster friendship and grow in my faith, which I didn't appreciate until after graduation. The school provides realistic expectations and explores a variety of career paths for every individual, whether going to college or not. Starting freshman year, you create a resume and cover letter. In sophomore year, you start to think about your vocation in life and job shadow someone. Moving into junior year, those going to college do visits, scholarships, and focused evaluations on majors. Lastly, senior year is a very where they fully prepare you in your courses to move on to the next stage of life.
Dowling is an amazing High School that provides a safe environment to learn in that sets you up for success in college. Excellent facility and the music and extracurricular activities provided are tons of fun, great for making new friends and provides lasting memories! The Catholic retreats are eye opening and encourage further vocation and friendships!
although DCHS is considered an excellent school and a great place to send an incoming freshman, it is not all that it seems. the school offers a wide verity of college prep classes which are amazing for preparing your student, but some of the teachers that are in charge of those classes fail to give the full material, or jus outright fall short in teaching the material in a way that a high schooler can understand. the student life there deserves a 5 star rating. there are so many activities and events to be apart of and they are so easily accessible fro any student or family! both of these combines lead to the school deserving a mid three star rating.
