Douglas County High School is a very friendly and thriving place. Most of the teachers are very kind and will listen to you if you see a problem with your grades and whatnot. I have found it to be generally safe and there are lots of people so plenty of opportunities to make new friends. There are plenty of club and after school activities and of course, sports!
I personally loved being a student at Douglas High School. The environment was always so welcoming and enjoyable, and all of the students seemed to be exceptionally motivated in life. I found that the teachers were vital to the students success, as they were always pushing their kids to reach their fullest potential. Douglas High School is a school that although is small and not well known, is one that helps students to strive for greatness both during their time there and in the future.
It is a great school to attend. I feel welcome and apart of the school. The teachers are amazing and really care about their students. The advanced classes are very well taught and definitely prepare students for college and the classes they will be taking there. Overall, I have really enjoyed being at Douglas High School.
