I have two very different kids currently in high school. One started as an honors student but struggles with anxiety possibly caused by some learning disabilities. It took some patience, but the school has definitely stepped up and worked with his needs. They also started an academy program for kids who struggle with school, which has excellent potential. My son isn't in that program, but they also offer options for kids dealing with various mental health issues. They care about seeing kids succeed from our experience.
My second kid is a more typical (if that exists anymore!) high school student. Generally self-sufficient and motivated. Doesn't love all his classes, but the majority for sure. He actually talks about stuff he learned in bio with enthusiasm!
I reduced one star because the counselors are overloaded and there are a few teachers who are smart but not suited to teaching. The principal is a GEM. Supportive and involved and expects the same from others. Strong academics

My experience at Dos Pueblos High School this far has been filled with many memorable experiences and moments of self growth. The teachers, admin, and classmates I have met here have all contributed to my incredible experience. Everyday, I am challenged academically by my teachers and peers, striving to be the best version of my self. As a result of this, I have become more independent and gained self confidence, something I never thought I would have and feel. The culture at the school and relationships I have built with my teachers and friends have allowed me to express my full self and never be afraid of failure. Every class I have taken has offered numerous opportunities to learn and grow. The incredibly dedicated teachers make each class engaging, leaving me with more knowledge about a topic or field, than I came into the class with. I am looking forward to the rest of my time at this school.
What I enjoyed most about Dos Pueblos Senior High School was mostly it’s welcoming environment. Teachers were respectful and taught the classes with enthusiasm. I still keep in contact with some teachers over and 3 have actually wrote me letters of recommendations. To my surprise they still remembered me after roughly 2 years. The wrestling program is honestly the most life changing experience I’ve ever done. The team and coaches were my family literally. I still keep in contact with almost all of my coaches and I even see one as my dad. Which further proves how welcoming the school was. There were also constant events here and there and students were encouraged to take part in it. The area where the school was also is forest like. The cleanliness of the school in common areas such as the cafeteria, bathrooms, could be better. Along with the locker rooms which seemed very bland. But it did their jobs. So everything was still running fine. Overall, Dos Pueblos was a amazing time.
