I really enjoy how involved all of the staff members are here at Gavit. All of the adults seem to really enjoy interacting with their students and it shows me that they truly care about their student's education. The nonstop effort that is put forth by the students is consistently met and matched with the effort of the teachers. With the Police Officers patrolling around the school, it makes me as well as almost every other student in the building feels safe. Something that I would like to see change is the organization of the sports here at Gavit. With the ability to offer multiple sports, it doesn't seem like the way the sports are organized meets the true potential that it can have. With more effort, even the baseball field could be fixed up and more enjoyable than playing on one bumpy terrain that is difficult to practice on.

My experience at Donald E. Gavit was a roller coaster, there's a lot of great memories I have here and met people who made it the best. Gavit has taught has taught me a lot of life lessons in order to prepare me for the world and I know that when I leave for college, it's going to be one of the places I miss the most. I've known the majority of the people I went to school with since elementary and middle school, and it's going to be tough when I won't be able to see them everyday because we basically grew up together. There's a lot of things I like about Gavit, but one thing I like the most are the teachers. The teachers are such a role model and a mentor to many of the students here. The teachers here are really special, it's what makes the school so great, it's what makes this school so great and makes me inspired to be the change in the world just like they are. Something I would like to see a change in is more clubs where students can fit in and don't feel left out.
As a student here from 6th through 12th it was something. One thing about Gavit is I feel sometimes admins care to much of making the school look #1 instead of actually having fun with the students. The learning experience was great, a lot of teachers cared about you education and that's one thing I'm happy I went to Gavit for. It was rare for teachers to just push off a zero or just say well you're going to fail. They make it their objective to at least motivate kids to do better with themselves. .
