I was given a great education addiction! I was heavily involved in student council, DSBTV, NJHS, The focus program, and many sports. I interacted commonly with the teachers. However, the focus program made my time at Dixon worthwhile. Coming from out of state in fifth grade I wasn’t immediately enrolled in the program, however I was offered a chance to test into the program. It allowed me to challenge myself in many different cases. A few highlights include Model UN, county debate, a roller coaster project at Kings Dominion, and science and history fair. for me, this was perfect in preparing me for boarding school. In sixth grade I was not enrolled, and was on a standard course track. In that time, I was with unmotivated students and long to escape. I am thankful for seventh and eighth grade year, being so transformative. I was able to get as much out of the school as I was willing to put in. That is the case with most every school, and it is possible here!
