Don Bosco Preparatory High School Reviews
Rating 4.69 out of 5 131 reviews
My four years at DBP were the four best of my life! Everything I have been able to achieve academically and in business is due to the experience I had at Don Bosco Prep. Not only is it quite challenging academically, the tradition and the student life are excellent. The campus looks more like a beautiful small college than it does a high school. After you graduate, you find college and graduate school much easier since you have been taught how to study and budget your time. You form friendships which last a lifetime. My biggest regret is I was not able to send my son here to study and graduate due to geographics. Ironman for life!
Don Bosco Preparatory High School is an exceptional institution that delivers a top-quality education. With its rigorous academic program and dedicated faculty, students are well-prepared for their future endeavors. The school's emphasis on character development sets it apart, instilling important values such as integrity and compassion in its students. The extracurricular activities offered at Don Bosco provide students with opportunities to explore their interests and develop their talents. The campus facilities are modern and well-maintained, creating an optimal learning environment. Moreover, the strong sense of community fosters lasting friendships and a supportive network of alumni. Don Bosco Preparatory High School is a fantastic choice for students looking for a well-rounded education that combines academic excellence, character formation, and a vibrant community.
Easily the best 4 years of my life. Bosco’s atmosphere and culture are unparalleled thanks to the efforts of the teachers and administration. Courses are rigorous enough to ensure that students are ready for the academics at any college. The ministry and theology departments do a great job encouraging participation in religion and service. My only issue is with the guidance department. Many of the counselors have no idea how to handle the extremely competitive process of college admissions. As a recent graduate who placed near the top of his class I can say with confidence that many top students gain admission to top schools not because of but rather in spite of their guidance counselors, and frequently are left with much to be desired. Nearby schools consistently send kids to better schools despite DBP being much better in terms of pure academic rigor. If Bosco wants to cement themselves as the best school in the area they should consider a complete overhaul of this department.
