I have been attending Don Lugo for all 4 years. This High school is considered a low-income school. My overall high school experience has been well but the school and staff have not been to pleasant to deal with. For starters the male bathrooms are completely destroyed and missing parts (sink is missing faucet). Some teachers are amazing allowing me to excel academically. While others are not effective at teaching me materials. The staff working at the front office are rude and completely unprofessional. I am not a troubled student, as I am the top 10 of Don Lugo but find that rude treatment is equal with everybody. I would recommend nearby schools such as Chino or Ayala as they offer more excelled courses, actives, and clubs compared to Don Lugo.
I loved always going to Don Lugo. The experience and memories made there are unforgettable. I made so many friendships with people who I hope will last a lifetime. The teachers I had were all overall amazing and kind, they always helped me throughout my year. They always checked on my mental health and asked if I was okay. What I would change is maybe more school activities that aren’t as expensive, because not everyone can afford these things. Overall I would definitely recommend this school to a close friend and to others.
My experience at Don Antonio Lugo High School was a memorable and worthwhile experience. I got to take various courses that challenged me as well as meet peers who are like-minded. The teachers were amazing! They always saw potential in us and reminded us that we can do great things. They did not say it just because.. they said that because they taught us best and prepared us for what the world will throw at us. From continuing to go to college, going to work, joining the workforce, or for some not knowing whats next, this high school prepared me and my classmates with the tools and knowledge to live a successful life.
