This is a beautiful school with a wonderful atmosphere and great student body. While bullying is an issue in every school, the problem here is bullying among staff. No Chair can interfere in what is best for the students’ education based on personal preferences towards those she does not know. The Principal needs to demonstrate courage and stand up for themselves and what is right and fair. The cowardice of silence is the cruelest and most unChristian way to treat a person already suffering injustice. Where there is no courage there can be no justice. And, as St. Augustine once did say, “In the absence of justice, what is sovereignty but organized snobbery?”
I currently attend Dominican Academy and love the school! All of the faculty are very nice and understanding with your needs. The workload is a lot but you definitely get used to it. I think it gives me a hint of what college will be like. Dominican Academy strives for diversity awareness so that nobody ever feels left out. I appreciate the school embracing all cultures.
This school has a great community and most of the teachers are very attentive. However, the clubs and sports could be stronger and it could offer more academic programs (for example, it advertises many APs that sometimes do not run depending on the year). It's a beautiful building but sometimes I think that the administration is more concerned with the school's aesthetic than with funding the student activities. College guidance is average at best, despite it being a very small school. If you are applying to more than 12 schools, you are required to pay Dominican Academy $35 for each additional school on top of the application fee. (for example, pay DA $70 when applying to 2 additional schools)
