My high school experience was okay. It wasn’t the best because I wasn’t as involved, but it was good enough since I did take part in a few clubs. Overall, I would say my high school was decent, there were awesome teachers and fun clubs. However, it should definitely improve in aspects like awards ceremonies since they were only once a year and only for students that took honors/ap classes, and while I agree they’re the overachieving kind, most regular-classes kids also try their best and achieve plenty. It would be nicer if they recognized students’efforts more often, as well as accurately since every month there’s supposed to be a “Mustang of the month” yet they often forgot to do it. Security should improve, campus was clean, most classes were easy, once again, an overall good experience.

Overall, your experience at Dobson is going to be a hit or miss situation. Personally I feel the Counselors do NOT know what they are doing, and often set things aside. Few teachers seem to be at an age where they forget where they put things, often making it impossible for others to learn. With that said, there are plenty of good things about Dobson. The environment Is often bright and supportive! The staff are impeccably nice. And teachers are seen not only looking out for one another, but for students as well. As I said above Dobson is a hit or miss ,hence why I gave 3/5 stars.
I personally think that all the teachers here are mostly great. They are always willing to free up their time for you and help you if you need help with something. I think the thing that can be fixed a little is the Art's program. I believe that the arts program should get more recognition. For example, when taking the marching band class for 1 semester instead of getting at least 1/2 a PE credit you only get 1/4 of a PE credit unlike football, where you get a full PE credit. I think this is unfair seeing as the marching band basically does the same amount of physical training as Football does, if not, even more. The marching band has to march around a field with proper TECHNIQUE in the summer heat of ARIZONA!!! But, overall the teachers and staff are really nice and are always helping out one another and of course the students.
