Doane Academy is a co-educational, independent, Episcopal day school serving students from age 3 through grade 12. The Doane experience emphasizes rigorous academics, a deep commitment to leadership, visual arts with professional teaching artists, seventeen interscholastic athletic teams, expert college counseling, and a culture where students are cared for and sustained by love, compassion, and respect. I couldn't be happier with this school. From their unique programs and traditions, to their close-knit and genuinely caring family feel, Doane Academy has been the best investment I could have made for my children and their future! Although the academics are excellent, I am even more impressed in how the school focuses on the whole child, meeting and supporting them where they are as individuals, and empowering them to freely grow in their specific interests and strengths, while also teaching them larger leadership skills.
Both of my daughters, ages 3 and 4, truly love and look forward to coming to school each and every day. The Doane community has welcomed them with open arms since day one. It is heart-warming to see them interact with the older students who know them and love them, as well as all the faculty. They have grown tremendously not only in their academics, but socially and emotionally as well!
After looking at multiple schools in the NJ and PA area, Doane Academy resulted to be such a wonderful surprise. The staff beginning with the Director of Admissions John S. was so incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. We were able to tour the school for our 1st, 3rd, and 9th graders and found the facilities and classrooms to be modern, spacious, and inviting to learning; even on par or better than other "popular" larger, private schools in the area. They recently acquired another building next to the school and they plan to further expand their great arts and STEM programs. We had the opportunity to interview with their lower and upper schools heads and in each conversation we felt teachers are dedicated to form well rounded individuals and they really cared about their students. The school was very sympathetic of our financial situation and offered a very generous financial aid to all my three kids, and for that we're extremely grateful! Thanks John and Doane Academy!
