Divine Savior Academy is young and small compared to other schools in the Miami area, but I grew so much in knowledge and spiritually since I got here. The students and DSA staff form a loving community where everyone cares for each other. I have been here for four years, and plan to graduate from this school, equipped with all the academic and college resources I need. The DSA family of staff, students, and parents continue to bring up this school and make it grow stronger each year. The high school building, for example, has been added to the campus less then a decade ago. Since then, it was equipped with a college counseling office, multiple science and STEM labs, media and computer centers, a gymnasium, and more. Last year, the school began construction of a building to teach students with special needs for the first time! The school is well-maintained and smells fresh every morning. The DSA family will receive anyone who comes through the school’s doors with acceptance.

Divine Savior Academy is a good school. Teachers are passionate about their jobs, every year the school is expanding with students, activities, classes and events, students are friendly, food is exceptional, etc. My only critique is that teachers sometimes fail to emotionally relate to the student body. There are many clubs to join such as the chess and math club. Students are also encouraged to create clubs that aren’t offered. Most of the student population is Hispanic and almost all teachers come from northern states which can create a language barrier. Safety is taken very seriously at DSA. Before visitors can access student areas, he/she must be identified and signed in at the main office before proceeding to further campus grounds. Overall, DSA is not a difficult school to attend. Faculty is very helpful with getting students prepared for college and many students have been accepted and enrolled at some of the best universities in the nation.
I like my school very much! They prepare me academically, socially, and spiritually every day so that I can succeed in the future! I love the teachers because they show that they care about you. If one thing could change, I would want more class options and extracurricular activities.
