I love DCC because of its love for the students. Everyday, each student is cared for, taught, and guided on their journey through school, which makes the experience much more personal. DCC is a K-12 campus that provides everything you may want or need. If you are looking for a challenge, DCC offers many AP, DP, and honor classes. There are also a variety of elective classes that you can try as you figure out what you are interested in and may want to pursue after high school. All of these classes can help develop your character, teach new skills, and grow and challenge you. Another thing that is great at our school are our teachers. They are very helpful, kind, and understanding. In addition, DCC has many different extracurricular activities such as sports, honor societies, and various clubs. You can even create your own club if it's not already offered. I have enjoyed the friends and the memories I have created at DCC. DCC truly provides everything you could possibly want or need!

I think DCC is a fantastic school. It excels in teaching academics (the school is part of the IB program), the arts (the teachers and students alike are very passionate about the band, choir, photography, theater, etc.), and sports (our sports teams are dedicated, and the coaches do their absolute best for the kids on and off the court and field). Our students are our school's biggest fans, and we might very well have one of the best student sections in Colorado Springs, maybe even the state. The only downsides I can think of are the financial and ethnic differences. A good majority of the school is made up of upper-middle-class to upper-class students, and even though its good for the school itself, you can definitely see the privilege. The majority of the school is also white/caucasian and depending on your perception, that might not seem great.
This high school is perfect for a student wanting college readiness and the facilities/resources needed to achieve it. Many schools in our district do not offer Biomedical sciences, but DCC does. This class is perfect for future healthcare professionals and is one of the things that I love about DCC over other competing high schools. This school is rich, they have good facilities for students and staff and the whole environment in generally comfortable. However, the diversity in this school is poor with a mostly caucasian population which is very normal in Colorado Springs schools. So far, I love this school and have had a great experience with it!
