It's a great school, though there are some probelms that need to be pointed out.
The bathrooms? Well, they have no mirrors, the lighting is poor, and there are wads of toilet paper stuck on the celing (in the girls bathroom. I don't even want to see the boy's bathroom.) . Yeah, kinda gross. Next, the nurse is literally useless. I even heard some of the teachers making jokes about how she doesn't do anything! The most she can do is give you a band-aid, some ice, and tell you to put your head down when you get back to class. However though, most of the teachers (Oh boy, there are some bad teachers in this school, let me tell you! Though most of them do teach lower grades. I had one that gave me a worksheet on decimals, and none of us knew how to do it, so we asked. His response? 'Try it.') are great, and should be taken into account. Plus, the test scores that Dirksen gets are quite high!

Great learning environment. Kind and helpful teachers that care about their students. Lots of resources available to the children. Fun learning activities that keep the kids interested.
The teachers at this school, I feel, care a lot about their students. They always want their students to put in their best efforts whenever they do something and believe that their students are they best that they can be. The teachers feel like family members and are always around if you need assistance with problems inside or outside of the classroom.
