Dinwiddie High School is a wonderful school. The environment is good, they have many good sports team. The most popular being the football team. The teachers don't really care about the students. They don't care if you pass or fail which is why most students don't pass their sol tests. I had a very good experience at DHS for the most part all of my teachers were good except for a few. They have a lot of interesting clubs, my favorite was DECA. The resource officer at the school is good. Safety for the most part isn't really an issue. The cafeteria food is okay, it could be A LOT better. Administration is good. Guidance counselors want the best for students and they want to see students become successful, they really care. The teachers try to prepare students for college, but the information really isn't helpful at all. Overall, I would recommend DHS to families looking for a good school for students.

My experience at Dinwiddie High School was an overall pleasant one. The teachers are committed to student success. There are AP class options as well as taking college credits at local community colleges. There are many clubs, organizations, and sports team to be involved in. Guidance counselors are there to assist you with college preparation.
I was a graduate of the 2016 class of Dinwiddie High School, and to me the school was average.I think the school has many great teachers, especially the teachers for the seniors, they made learning fun for many of the students who were ready to give into "Senioritis." Some low points, would be diversity, college readiness and resources.

When I went to school here, it was very little diversity, the school was divided
into two halves: white and black. There were also a few hispanic children and some asian.

College readiness at this school is low because most children here don't know what to expect for college. Unless they are in sports, most do not care about there GPA and it really isn't brought up.

I list resources as poor because the textbooks are in bad quality. Our goverment textbooks could barely be used because covers fell off and had to be taped back on or the book was ruined by water.

With some improvements, I think the school could be one of the best in Virginia.
