If you are looking for stellar academics and lots of clubs to prepare you for the real world, then I wouldn't recommend this school. The students here aren't pushed to get excellent grades or even try to get their work done well (if even done at all). If you want to be ready for your future, then you need to prepare yourself mostly on your own. The only thing to add to your resume that this school provides is sports and student body, which doesn't do much for students. When it comes to the culture, the most you get is homecoming week. Other activities that make Dietrich have some culture have almost all been removed. To my knowledge, the majority of students are white with the only diversity being a small portion of Hispanic students. The sports program is the highlight of this school since students are pushed to join at least one sport. The coaches are dedicated to helping players be the best they can be.

Dietrich is GREAT school to raise your kids in, everyone is nice to everyone and it has an awesome environment. I wish that Dietrich would put more effort into creating a good music program and putting other opportunities out there for those students who don't participate in sports.
All the policies that are enforced are enforced well. There is no bullying and no druggies. The principal has often changed over the past many years and usually there isn't a guidance councilor, but the other administrative heads fill in really well.
